The Fall of Araya. Part 1

   "Famah, what is the Force?"

"Djabak-Sah..." The words released like the low rumbling of a storm, or one of the big cruisers at

Araya-Mah.  Fal-Djabaka looked down at his young son with displeasure, then, his expression

softened and he took a knee next to the young boy.

"Djabak-Sah, this is not the time to speak of the Force, it is the time to speak of why you touched my

lightsaber without permission, why you attempted to use it..."

"It didn't turn on Famah,"

Eyes softening in a sense of compassion,  Fal-Djabaka, placed his large, weathered hand on his son's

chest. "The error was in the action in itself, the essence of the Force is focusing on the action and not

the consequences."

"I don't understand Famah, isn't the crime of setting a fire in the blaze itself?"

Fal-Djabaka smiled briefly "No my boy, it is in the spark."

"Fahma, why aren't you a Jedi anymore"

"Because I promised your Masas I would always love you and take care of you."

"I miss Masas"

Fal-Djabaka began to pull his son closer, but a shudder washed over his body

"Djabak-Sah, go get your travel bag, and C2C2P and get in the Speeder."

"But Fahmah.."

"NOW."

As Djabak-Sah rushed to obey his Fahma, Fal-Djabaka suppressed a small sob, as in the distance, the

moment he has dreamt about hundreds of times in the past year unfolded. The sky cracked open,

ominous, shapes materializes, boxy, unnnatual, defying nature with their sheer size, an armada,

breaching atmosphere, bringing with it, an army of cold, unfeeling, uncaring murder machines.

Fal-Djabaka closed his eyes and reached out, a second later he felt the cool heft of his saber in his

palm, turning to run, to protect Djabak-Sah, and the  7 billion Araya-Pah that entrusted him as their

Senator. Recieving no clarifying vision or reassurance from the Force, certain of only one fact. war

had come to Araya.
